At Home #10: Zoom Sessions April 28-30
This week Ms. Maria continued Zoom sessions for all The Montessori House students learning at home. She introduced several new formats for at home learning (see Zoom Primer for Parents), including a Science Demonstration, Show & Do Cooking at Home, and Follow the Leader (movement and songs).

Tuesday April 28:
- Ms. Maria reads three books most appropriate for younger children up to age 4.

VIDEO LINK – Mr. Putter and Tabby Pick the Pears and Mr. Putter and Tabby Feed the Fish, both by Cynthia Rylant - Ms. Maria demonstrates how create enough gas to fill (and pop) a plastic bag by mixing a solid (baking soda) and liquid (vinegar) (BALLOON BAG). She also shows how to experiment with marker-made figures that dance on a liquid surface, using different vessels and liquids (MAGIC MARKER DANCERS).

- Materials Balloon Bag Project: sealable plastic sandwich bag, toilet paper, measuring spoon, measuring cup, tape, baking soda, white vinegar
- Materials Magic Marker Dancers Experiments: dry erase markers (several darker colors), clear glass plate, white ceramic plate, enameled pan, water, milk, toothpick
Wednesday April 29: Ms. Maria conducted three Show & Do Cook at Home sessions making two different snacks. Ingredient List
