The Enrollment Process

Here’s how the enrollment process works:

  1. Vist the school for a tour, then complete the admissions application and return it to the school with the non-refundable $90 application fee. The date we receive these items establishes initial priority in the enrollment process.

  2. We begin to make enrollment offers in January for the following September, and have rolling admissions until our sessions are full (at which point we start waiting lists).  We'll send you an Enrollment Registration Agreement which you'll need to sign and return with a tuition deposit.

  3. Once the signed agreement  and deposit are returned, your child’s space in the incoming Montessori House class is guaranteed.

  4. Finally, before school starts, a school representative will arrange an appointment for you and your child to meet with the school Director for a final school readiness assessment.

Visit Us

The best way to learn about The Montessori House School is to visit us. Once you see our students and teachers in action, in the classroom, you'll understand what makes the Montessori classroom so special, so different, and so effective. And, we hope you'll begin to appreciate the warm, caring, inviting atmosphere that our students, parents, and teacher love so much.

We schedule only private tours, for you and your spouse, or for you and a friend or relative. On a private tour we focus exclusively on your questions and addrees your unique concerns regarding the school you want for your child. In addition to seeing our facility, viewing our credentials and licenses, and learning about how we run our school, we'll also spend time with your in the classroom. Of course, we'll have you observe the program you're considering for your child, but we'll also invite you to spend time observing programs your child would attend after her or his first yeat at The Montessori House.

Each school year, our first available appointments are in mid-September, once the children have settled in for the new school year, and we schedule tours through the end of school in June, on days classes are in session.

Because the most informative and interesting part of the tour, for parents, is observing in the classroom, we strongly recommend the "Adults Only" tour at 9:45 a.m., if convenient for you. Otherwise, please do visit us for an after school tour at 4:10 p.m. -- when we can host two adults and your child (if you don't have childcare available).

To schedule a visit, book online or please text/call us at 201-816-8343, or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. us with your phone number and we will call you.
